Question Type Examples

When choosing Multiple Choice, Single Choice, or Table for the question type, an additional field appears next to the radio buttons in the image above. The following explains how to complete this field for each type.

Multiple or Single Choice

Enter each possible answer choice on its own line. For example:

  1. Rock
  2. Scissors
  3. Paper

The multiple choice type allows students to choose more than one of the choices, whereas students may choose only one option in the single choice type.

Table

You may enter either plain text or HTML, if you are comfortable with that sort of coding. Here are some examples of how this might be used:

  • Enter a prompt or sentence starter to help students begin their response.
  • Fill in the blank such as F __ m __ a, where students must replace the blanks to complete the formula: F = m * a.
  • An HTML table the student will use to fill in their response.
