Re-Sync Classes and Rosters with Your LMS
This article applies to our integrations with Canvas, Schoology, Google Classroom, Classlink, and Rapid Identity.
Re-Sync Rosters
Each night our system runs a sync with the data pulled from the systems listed above. While this generally will keep things in sync, there are times when class rosters might be out of sync. When this happens, you have options to get things back in sync.
Individual Teacher Sync
Use the question mark icon menu at the top of any page and select the "Rostering" option.
When a new window pops open, click the blue Save and Sync button. When the popup window closes, your rosters have been synced with the latest data.
If this method does not work, you can try again after the next nightly sync with the data source (Schoology, Classlink, etc.).
Admin Sync
Contact the data admin for your district or school and have them run a sync via the Edlink Dashboard (Edlink is our data partner for all these integrations). This method is the same as the automatic syncs that run overnight, but gets changes into ours system faster. It's perfectly safe to run these syncs during the school day. When the sync is complete, use the individual teacher sync method listed above.
Contact Activate Learning Support
If all else fails, contact our support team. There may be an issue with data syncs that can't be solved by the above methods.
Manage Your Classes
The first time you log in, you will be asked to select classes for import. After importing one or more classes, you will no longer be prompted to import classes during subsequent logins. For the classes you have imported, the rosters will be updated automatically each night or each time you use the manual sync method listed above.
If you need to add newly created classes or remove one previously imported, use the question mark icon at the top of any page and select the "Rostering" option (pictured above).
When the Rostering window opens, your previously imported classes appear that the top and may be removed by clicking the red Remove button. Classes available to be imported are at the the bottom. To import a new class, check the box to the left of the section title, select the appropriate option from the Grade menu, then click the blue Save and Sync button. At this point your new class will be imported and new student accounts will be created.
